Nigerian Civil War - Every Day (1967-70)

Ethnic violence had increased since 1945, after two military coups instigated by ethnic violence, an Anti-Igbo Pogrom occurred in 1966, murdering thousands of Igbo, this moved Biafra to declare independence, starting the Nigerian Civil War, several nations would support the two sides for competing interests, Biafra would fall but the resentment would eventually instigate an insurgency in the region years later.Nigerian Civil War sources:
